Musical Background: Charlie was born in New Castle, Indiana. He graduated high school from Venice High in Venice, FL.. He obtained his Bachelor of Science with an emphasis on business and music from Liberty University in Virginia. Charlie plays a variety of instruments including orchestral instruments, trombone, percussion, trumpet, flute, clarinet and saxophone. Bob Bass, the chorus director at Venice High, was his inspiration for becoming a music educator.

Personal: Charlie is engaged and has 3 children and 2 stepchildren. Hobbies include composing music and working on cars. His favorite food is a porterhouse steak.
